Stopped watching the Simpsons entirely after watching the first few minutes of the 2020 election episode. It had been going down in quality for years. I think around the time of the movie.
Futurama had the same sort of issue. When they brought it back, they did movies that they eventually broke up into episodes.
The characters in both always had some parody to them, but they also contrasted that by giving them real issues and drama. The interactions between the characters were also great, because all of them were flawed. When both series changed their focus to be more on impressive visuals, and constant one-sided politicization both series lost something critical.
Futurama used to be one of my favorite shows, but now I'm completely apathetic about them reviving it.
I was an avid watcher of The Simpsons prior to 2010. Old time fans of the show will tell you the show had long gone to shit by that point, but I liked it enough. 2010 was the year I almost completely stopped watching TV and The Simpsons had nothing to do with that, but clearly I didn't miss out on anything.
Reminder that they had an entire episode devoted to endorsing Obama, basically acting as an ad campaign.
This will probably end up being the woke-ist show of all time.
I don't remember that. Maybe I'm just oblivious.
I know Bender's voice is a woketard. I'm sure most of the rest of them are too. Wasn't Groening doing weird shit with Epstein?
I never heard anything about this, but I'm completely unsurprised by the claim. Wokists turn out to be kiddy diddlers every fucking time.
