Also, Australia’s “sphere of influence” affects the entire western Pacific, so if we do this, expect all those small… Effectively vassal states, to follow. That’s another problem.

AusGov knows this. That’s why they use the “fear” of people in underdeveloped, small countries (Fiji, Vanuatu, PNG) to push this domestically, both here and in NZ… 😕

I’ve met, and know, people from a bunch of those countries. They do not like being told what to do, or where to go, lol…
