The "problem" is doing that, [or bringing up other events such as the Holodomor, Armenian Genocide, and whatever else], takes the attention away from those who demand to be treated as both special victims forever but also "equal"/better than others at the same time, hence the repeated instances of turnabout involving "My fellow whites" followed shortly by "I'm not 'white', actually" when backlash happens.
