Oh ffs. I had to defend bloody McConnell last week, now Goldberg this week.
The thing is, there is a core of a point here. The holocaust was a multi-purpose abomination, and the Nazis actually killed more non-Jews than Jews, if I'm reading these stats right. To claim it as an exclusively Jewish atrocity is not accurate.
The "problem" is doing that, [or bringing up other events such as the Holodomor, Armenian Genocide, and whatever else], takes the attention away from those who demand to be treated as both special victims forever but also "equal"/better than others at the same time, hence the repeated instances of turnabout involving "My fellow whites" followed shortly by "I'm not 'white', actually" when backlash happens.
They often killed for example Poles due to their self professed (and even defined by their relevantly named Race and Settlement Office of the SS) racial reasons.
Related to this, for example, the crime of "racial defilement" (intimate relations of an "Aryan" with a Polish person): https://rarehistoricalphotos.com/german-woman-public-humiliation-1942/
To think they were just absolutely obsessed with race, very strictly defined and murderously exclusionary, is just as absurd as the ADL's new definition of racism. According to which the Nazis weren't being racist unless occasionally as if they come upon a French colonial soldier (of whom they murdered hundreds in 1940, but so they did with for example numerous surrendering white British soldiers: https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/articles/chasselay-massacre-june-1940). Just absolutely absurd. Especially if they define themselves (Ashkenazi Jews) as white.
I suppose it's fair to say it was racial without being exclusively anti-Semitic.
Even those of their own people that the Nazis exterminated were killed to improve the Aryan race, as I recall?
Most Slavs were to be replaced (killed or deported), turned into slaves by those replacing (German farmer settlers), or Germanized. The Lebensraum thing.
