I know it is a hypothetical question and hyperbole, but anyways:
To ensure you have the right culprits. Perhaps the parents were the ones pressuring it, but when it led to suicide attempts that got noticed and not wanting to get in trouble, they offset the risk? Not saying so in this case, just that it is possible. Was it the teacher, or a principal, or some other faculty? Were they acting on orders or funding from some organization that needs pursuing?
The legal process is important... If you can find an unbiased judge.
