uBlock Origin, I haven't seen an ad on youtube in years. SponsorBlock will also let you skip most in-video plugs.

uBlock Origin is nice because it doesn't just block ads. It blocks a ton of other crap if you configure the filters properly, I have a bunch of filters I've built up over several years just to hide the garbage YouTube foists upon its users. It makes the site bearable on desktop.
