Everyone hates you in a city. Your mere existence is a hinderance to them: you are more traffic. you are someone in their way on the sidewalk. you are someone taking their spot in a packed theatre or coffee shop. They will never see you again. Being an asshole to you is without a doubt the default mode.

Cities smell. For instance, most of Seattle smells like urine. All of San Francisco smells like shit. All of New York smells like rotting trash.

City people. A few questions. How many foxes have you seen? How many stars can you see when you look up at night? How often do you go fishing to catch dinner? Have you ever seen a baby fawn nipping at leaves as it sat waiting for it's mother, 15 feet from your favorite relaxation chair near the back window?
