Well, that too, but I'm fairly sure most people's response to an apparent pandemic would not be:
You should care, because this is an optics tactic that they have been using since at least 2000. A lot of global warming's legitimacy in the public eye came from them saying 99% of scientists agreed with it.... but whenever you looked into it... Well most of the people signing off on declarations like this were not even climatologists at the time. Mostly random people/researchers/professors with tenure.
It's a tactic to build a false consensus and it needs to be exposed as the junk and lies that it is.
the 99% wasn't even what they claimed. forbes, before it was totally cucked, ran some polls and got some scientists interviewed, and they unanimously said all they were talking about was that man-made global warming is real. it was only a tiny minority (<20%) who actually believe in all the doomsday prophecies.
regardless, using "consensus" as a baseline for science is pure cult propaganda. consensus is not and never has been science. empirical replicability is science. global warming doomsday prophecies fail empirical replicability.
I think 99% figure come from a guy doing a grep/google search of either scientists' personal pages or publications, and finding man-made global warming mentioned. Big Lie levels of sloppy methodology.
Anyone that went to a good college knows dozens if not hundreds of people that became doctors that are still fucking retards. They’re doing the fake (non medical) doctor thing out of PhD’s and including fucking dentists now? No one’s ever going to trust anyone again if something real ever happens.
It’s not that hard to become a doctor, either. Or a lawyer. With Doctors schooling takes longer and from that the price goes up, but it’s not like all doctors went to great schools or are smart. Most of the smarter people probably go into tech nowadays because it’s less schooling, less expensive, more money, and more opportunity while being able to work from anywhere a lot of times.
If they were acting in good faith it could mean something. But getting 300 nobodies, AND the desire is to silence debate, the narrative is pretty clear.
