The phobia works because it sounds good, like scandal-gate, even though it doesn't make sense. Not sure tee-dium has that, especially not tay-dium.

I think for it to catch on it needs to end in 'ia' as in a 'state or condition' just so that it parallels phobia.

So my best alt so far is -versia from averse. It sounds okay and it also is accurate for me... people do all kinds of things I find disgusting and gross. I'm not afraid of them, I don't hate them, but I would never do it myself and don't want to be around people that do and don't want to see it every day in every movie and every newscast. I'm also not simply bored of it, I personally reject it.
