There's a lot of pessimism here, likely well justified. Still I call this a big win because we've not been seeing this stuff get defeated at a high level pretty much anywhere in the world, and it did here.
I've lived a lifetime seeing my rights get eroded and destroyed. I think back to even just basic shit like hanging out with friends on the outskirts of town without any no-trespassing signs or the police being called. Being able to keep my loved ones company and kiss them goodbye right from the boarding gate. Actually having privacy without getting some electronic device to tattle on where I've been.
It's a win, but it's a little like just moving up a trench after losing ground for countless battles.
