I'm a big fan of Trump from before politics. That being said, his Presidency if summed up in a quote would be "You can't teach an old dog new tricks"
Despite the incompetence of your enemies, if you keep playing the same tricks they will adapt and learn.
Hopefully his story teaches lessons to people learning, every politician promises to "clean up the swamp" and get absorbed by it, now we get to see what happens when the swamp rejects it.
I think it's now safe to say that the swamp cannot be cleaned up, it's too large, too entrenched and will rally to save itself from being cleaned. And it was there before you, you just can't get it all in the limited time you have.
If there's anything to learn from this I think the first thing is that when a politician says "I'm going to clean up the fatcats in washington" they might as well be saying "I'm going to turn off the moon" it doesn't matter whether or not they are lying because it's not going to happen either way.
The right question to ask next is "Why can't the swamp be cleaned" what mechanisms exist to perpetuate it, why is it like it is now.
