Also, I forgot to mention: enforced “tall poppy” syndrome, which basically means…
“Conform, and keep your head down, or we’ll mock you mercilessly and attempt to ruin you.”
The exact opposite of the “entrepreneurial spirit” which theoretically America used to have…
In fact, it has far more in common with the Nordic “Jante laws” than anything our “fellow colonials” might employ… 😑
It’s very… Weird, when you think about it, but it’s also why many, many young Australians leave, move overseas, “make it”, in a more… Ambition-friendly environment (or burn out along the way, like me), make some money, perhaps meet a foreign partner (because Aussie women suck), and then, maybe later, but not always, move back to this dump and invest their hard-earned monies into our revolting property market, which ONLY EVER goes up, in the major cities… Meaning that the rest of us never even get to buy an apartment, let alone a house…
That enough of a blackpill for ya??
Australia is doomed, dude. 😕
Perhaps more so even than the US, or the UK, right now… 😑
But you are an anti-vaxxer by their new definition. You can even have the COVID shots and be against mandates and still be called an "anti-vaxxer". It means nothing so embrace it. Same with "racist" and "sexist"
Because, sadly, we are spineless cowards, used to a certain... "standard of living" (lololol), and my fellow countrymen would do anything to preserve the status quo, and their precious personal wealth (real estate. It's literally all just real estate and shares.), even if it means losing every single freedom they took for granted, prior to all this...
Too much trust in the government. Too little ideological diversity, and too much "ethnic diversity". Too many immigrants from "conformist" societies, like India, China, The Middle East, (and arguably the UK), etc...
And a national image that is based on a myth that hasn't been true for at least 30-40 years (tough, rugged, bush-bred individualism, and self-sufficiency).
Oh, and a complete lack of media diversity, and a government that is willing to literally pay the media companies to publish literal propaganda, as you say.
That should be a starting point for you, in attempting to, at least partially, answer your question... :-/
I’m not an anti-vaxxer. But I am anti-propaganda.
Why does Straya have some of the most extreme propaganda from their government?
