I used to figure that people would open their eyes over time but across the world that isn’t the case. Here in the U.S. the media keeps being overly hysterical about positive cases. I used to joke that there should be a ban on reporting cases.
Imagine if the flu was reported like this. Also the way they have never just said that certain people are at a higher risk than others and of course the “it’s ok to protest” narrative.
Just makes me sick to see people who are chicken little or someone who tells me that people have died
In places where it's allowed to, it's already on the way. My daily life 350-ish days of the year is back to at least a revised normal. I do think thw variant of the day was a setback though, as I know some that I thought were getting out of it sprinting backwards as fast as they can.
I call it a revised normal, because the last two years have been a bit of a wake up for me. I think no matter what it's going to be a different world than I was expecting. Not with the intent to be doomer-ist, but more of a shift of use of personal energy. Less investment in spectator sports as one example. Another being trading in some of the exotic travel ambitions I had and instead doing fun things with family and friends that I never really made the effort with before.
I live in Texas so it’s pretty normal. I feel bad for people in certain areas of the country
