Anyone who isn't a full on idpol marxist and still relies on big tech for his livelihood is either clueless or lazy.
The excuses I see in that thread of "well youtube views drive people to patreon" is such cope because patreon has proven to be subverted as well.
The only use of big tech should be to advertise alt tech.
On the plus side the thread did point me to full30 where I found a vid of a guy who 3d printed what is pretty much a pancor jackhammer
The only use of big tech should be to advertise alt tech. Which no one uses. Bitchute is dead, Rumble is barely limping along unless your last name's Bongino or Posobic, Minds is unheard of, Parler is all feds and Gab is ass to use.
YET
Alt tech will always be smaller, slower, less reliable, less convenient, less polished, and less lucrative. You have to accept that and embrace it as your sacrifice toward a better future.
Being in a dissident minority has a price. The alternative is to embrace the satanic pedophiles who are currently running all of the institutions.
If giving up big tech is too hard don't do it. But acknowledge the current situation isn't great and be willing to make a small effort toward making it better.
Take small steps. Search on alternate engines first and use google if you can't find it elsewhere. Check odysee or bitchute or rumble first before you check youtube. If you still use twitter also put the same thing on gab. If you upload videos also upload it to odysee. Start migrating your email from gmail to protonmail or another alternative.
You don't have to martyr yourself for "the cause" but also don't use the fact that we face a seemingly impossible challenge as an excuse to give up and do nothing.
Gab may be shitty, but at least it's got a big enough population, and it works decently enough. The fact that there's a lot of people there and you can speak freely with minimal concerns about being shut down for what you say is a huge plus. Telegram's great as well.
A big problem with Gab is that it's almost entirely a political place, whereas Twitter is a main/general communication place. There's artists, there's socializing, there's news. You could strike all the political shit off Twitter on both sides and it'd still have value. Not so for Gab.
