Unlikely to stick, barring major new revelations. There are already European health authorities commenting semi-definitively that Omicron is milder.

Yeah, until they do a complete 180 again. I'm old enough to remember when the Delta variant was much milder than the original strain, before it somehow turned into Airborne Ebola AIDS Ass Cancer overnight.
