This is ridiculously bad. Not only are the ideas that are being expressed stupid on multiple levels, the writing itself is bad and bland.
There was a point in movie writing where it stopped feeling like there were artists behind it, and it started to feel like the generation of millennials that got writing degrees finally graduated. None of them had any talent, but hey, they had the degree so now it was "their turn".
Now everything sounds like a god damn twitter conversation. "Is that just because that's what women are supposed to want?" Please.
It's also because they've been indoctrinated into an ideology that believes merit is racist/sexist/bad and they push for affirmative action. Everything they inhabit turns to shit because they're not the best people for the job. They're probably not even that good at it. Thus, everything they create is shit. This is on top of the top down push for "the message" in everything they create as well, which also seeks to corrupt and destroy everything good.
