just wait and pirate it
not bothering to write an itemized review, it wasn't particularly subversive more than the previous ones - it was kind of empty with no real substance
it just wasn't even that much fun - it relied entirely on fan nostalgia mostly for the raimi series and self-referential "humor" and the multiple spider man thing was done better by spiderverse
if anything it is a showcase of how the marvel team is so strapped for ideas that they have to pull the good ones from the previous movies
I would put it in the bottom 3rd of marvel movies, not worth full attention but fine as background when you are doing something else
No one talking about Dr. Strange.
*they have to go back
*it doesn't matter if they'll die
*it's not our problem, their lives are meaningless
*Major death because of multiverse refugees
*cuckold still kissing fugee ass
*Strange finally helps clean up the ruins of society by sending them back, all of them good or bad
*The cleanup: may history forget we were ever countrymen, may you chains rest lightly upon you.
*End mixed race relationship, preventing genetic horrors
Bro's, it's a kids movie, but it was uplifting a.f.
I admire your optimism
Well if you end up seeing it, watch it with your own perspective on life, there's a good lesson in there they accidentally promoted. The good natured lessons in the movie were guaranteed not intentional.
I saw someone complain that the movie "ruined" Strange, and I had the opposite reaction where I thought Strange was absolutely correct, Parker was unbelievably irresponsible and Aunt May paid the price (which is sort of fitting because she encouraged Peter to be unbelievably irresponsible). "With great power comes great responsibility" what is responsible about risking billions of lives to save five tragically deranged people?
I think the complaint was that strange wouldn't have granted him the wish in the first place
