And in a sane world the idea that you would shut down the entire world for a day let alone 2 weeks let alone 2 years would have been considered the ravings of a madman.
Let it rip through the young population to build up herd immunity as fast as possible so that the elderly aren't at risk from getting it from a relative. People should have been actively encouraged to get their kids infected. Instead we shut down schools and playgrounds.
