That's the way reddit operates.
It has ALWAYS been under control.
There's a few other superuser accounts that are owned by big names.
What reddit admins also do is directly tweak the vote counts and post rank order to manipulate conversations.
They also knowingly allow bot farms to operate, they allow accounts to be sold to various firms, and on the backend there is reason to believe they've taken payments for some of this.
Way back in the day around the time I got banned from /r/politics I started tracking some of the engagement around superuser posts. It's almost entirely manipulated vote counts and astroturfing.
From what I hear reddit admins do similar things with their "gold" and all that garbage as well these days.
