Banning books is wrong no matter who does it. Pornography, ok i get that, but teach children critical thinking and most of the books on the list will simply inform them of other viewpoints.
It's folly to pretend vulnerable children pick these out of a library and read them to their detriment. They don't, or, at least, the child that reads too many books isn't the one with the problem. The problem is what is foist upon them by public school teachers. Ideally, nothing. Nothing should be taught by the state.

They can and do. There’s a place for them [the trash], and not in school libraries.
