The Atlantic isn't against banning books. They just don't like it when progressive trash gets banned. You won't see them bemoaning Amazon banning George Lincoln Rockwell or Kevin MacDonald books, and Amazon has far greater control over the availability of literature than Texas schools.
And when things that they dislike get banned they will celebrate, like when statues get torn down or classic books are removed for the sake of "more diversity"
