The metadata of the low resolution video (the one given to the defense) shows it was created after the original HD footage video (the one only the prosecution and state had, which was withheld from the defense until after evidence submission ended), and the low res version is cropped, meaning it doesn't show everything the HD video does. Furthermore, the entirety of the prosecution's case hinges on the low res video and screenshots from it, which they used to suggest Kyle pointed his rifle at the protestors before the shootings, showing intent to do harm and provocation, therefor suggesting Kyle is guilty of murder. The HD video shows Kyle didn't do this, but that evidence was withheld by the prosecution. This means it was done intentionally. The defense team and the judge himself are being pussies, and should declare a mistrial with prejudice, preventing Kyle from being retried. Letting the jury continue to deliberate based on intentionally tampered evidence damaging to the defendant is insane.
When this was discussed in court earlier today, the defense team was throwing out one bullshit excuse after another to the judge, in an attempt to save their own asses, even though each excuse disproved the previous, and no one called them out on their bullshit. The spineless defense team could only muster enough testosterone to ask the judge for a mistrial without prejudice, which would force Kyle to go through this again.
This whole fucking trial is an abortion of justice, and it shouldn't have even occurred in the first place.
I don't buy the incompetence route one bit.
