I get that you're being glib about "managing expectations," re: the Harris administration.

I just want to point out that not being able to meet unrealistic expectations during the pandemic, while the disease became endemic, is the excuse the administration is using for the lockdown & passport measures.

The irony is rich.

You're totally right about that.

But don't forget that the expectations were also ridiculous for COVID too:

At first there wasn't even evidence that human to human transmission even existed according to the WHO.
Then, the expectations were 2.5 million dead by the end of 2020
Then, that a vaccine would take no less than 5-10 years.
