While satisfying I don't think that is tactically the move. Instead you get a bill or referendum that does what you want, then print stickers that say "support public education - vote intiative 123" (where initiative 123 cuts the budget, neuters unions, and adds penalties for lefty propagndizing)
Its distasteful to use the enemy's tactics but they are effective. Just make a claim that your objective does something that normies want then misrepresent the position of the opposition to be something normies don't want.
