Insider has published a story that seems supportive of the idea that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense. The Google News page still has plenty of typical MSM bullshit, but you also have articles with titles like "The Rittenhouse Prosecution Is Not Going So Well" and coverage of the filming of jurors.
Even on Reddit the narrative is collapsing. Idiots claiming that Kyle brought the gun across state lines are getting downvoted:
[-36] In wisconsin if you're engaging in reckless behavior (like crossing state lines to bring an illegal firearm into a riot) then the normal bar for self-defense is raised considerably.
Even a progressive moron in that second thread admits that this is "obviously a politically motivated trial."
CNN is still chugging along trying to portray him in a negative light but even their rhetoric is getting less extreme. Maybe they're just afraid of getting sued. Snopes has acknowledged the evidence as true while making extra sure to point out it doesn't mean Kyle is innocent legally and how anyone who says Kyle is innocent is wrong.
If Kyle is exonerated, the BLM/Antifa goons may not find much support for plans to go after the jury.
I've always been a fence sitter on this case. Obviously, based on the footage we were initially provided it seemed pretty clear cut, but self defense trials are rarely that simple. I assumed there was some damning evidence that we hadn't seen, or (as is the case in many jurisdictions) some law to give dindus-of-dubious-intent the upper hand over their victims in the courts; Hawaii for instance requires you to run away 3 seperate times, tell your attacker that you have a gun, and then (probably) offer to felate them before you can shoot.
However, after watching the Biden-tier case that the prosecution has presented it is painfully obvious to anyone with an IQ north of 80 that this is a show trial of Soviet proportions. The only thing that it has truly been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, is the abject failure of the state. The prosecutor's office had the opportunity to decline prosecution at any point for months now; they knew they didn't have a case, but pushed through with this regardless. The reason, obviously, was because they knew that left wing terror organizations would burn the city down and start coming after lawyers, judges, etc.; but this is the reason we have a state, the reason we "pay" taxes, and the reason we allow these people the authority over our lives that we do; they have the duty to make decisions that are in the interest of what is ethically and legally proper, especially in the face of terrorists. Instead of accepting that responsibility, the state has shirked it onto the shoulders of 12 innocent people. Now a jury has to bare the brunt of the left wing terrorism. The city will still burn, in addition however, now 12 innocent families will undoubtedly be doxxed, assaulted and possibly killed because of the ineptitude of their government.
The other option is to go along with the show trial and know they sent an innocent person to prison.
In a sane society, everyone involved in this would be sued for malicious prosecution and defamation, but in our society, we can't even be sure the jury won't cave and find him guilty.
