OSHA is a meme anyway.

Most corporations go above and beyond when it comes to protecting workers. Naturally, this never makes the news, because it doesnt get clicks.

I'm not sure constant lawsuits are a good way to handle it. The state should regulate safety; it just shouldnt' be the Federal government. Unless there's an issue of jurisdiction; maybe interstate flights for instance.
