Keep pumping out shitty Star Trek spinoffs, guys. When it crashes and burns from all the brand dilution and lore vandalism, I'll be able to go back to talking Trek with real fans that understand nuTrek is 100% illegitimate and never worth discussing.
There's nothing stopping real Trek fans from doing this now. There just needs to be some kind of fan consensus to ignore the new Trek travesties.
Make a list. Publish it. Get other fans to endorse it & publicize it. Create an official organization to maintain the list. If there's Star Trek brand material that comes out, have the organization rate the new material. Collect donations through the organization to fund fan works (novels, comics & short films). Destroy Alex Kurtzman.

True, I'm most coming at it from an angle of feeling out a community.
Today, that community is likely to be filled with Discovery being so good and Lower Decks being so welcoming to new fans blah blah blah. The lack of gatekeeping has flooded these circles.
I'm dreaming of when Paramount abandons it again and all the clout chasing virtue signalers move on to the next thing to ruin and finally dropping a four-lights reference in public elicits a response from someone who isn't going to be all "And ST:Picard was such a nice send off to Data"
Unfortunately Paramount shows no signs of abandoning the franchise, despite their entries overwhelmingly being shit.
I don't think there is a real audience for this stuff though. The point of Paramount making these shows is to create content for the streaming service, not to build a generational fanbase. The actual fans that care are the ones that care about Trek. And it's a very smart and savvy audience, these people could make a lot of positive moves if they would actually organize and coordinate to undermine the shitslop coming from Hollywood.
