So .... what powers are these "peace officers" going to have? The same as the police? I guarantee it'll wind up that way, once the "peace officers" realize just what kind of humans they're dealing with. Because I know for a fact that the phrase "peace officer" brings nothing but sneers and derision from actual criminals who otherwise ass-pucker when real police come into play.
