People don't understand Gen Z from a political perspective. They are a huge difference, and yeah, are probably going to be a major political turning point.
The stats DO NOT say that Gen Z is conservative. Nothing of the sort.
What they say is that Gen Z is as conservative at 18 as Millennial are at 30.
Basically, the way the statistics worked is each generation starts more Leftist and becomes more Right-wing as they age. The decay of Leftism in people takes a while but it can drop the numbers substantially. So, lets call Generation A 20% Leftist at 18, they will become 5% Leftist at 70.
However, with control over schooling, the next generation is far more Leftist than the previous one at 18, to the point that they are as Leftist at 70, as the previous one was at 18. So in our example, Generation B is 35% Leftist at 18, and is 20% Leftist at 70.
This is basically the pattern that we saw with the generations we've studied going back to the Silent Generation (which was one of the first to get Progressive public education from the Progressive Era).
I forget the specific numbers numbers, but let's call Millennial about 70% Leftist at 18. At 30, they are about 65% Leftist. We know that Leftism will decay in millennials so that when they are 70, they'll probably be something like 45% Leftist.
What is dramatically different about Gen Z is that they are (again, fake numbers) 65% Leftist at 18. Given all historical trends. This means that they will be more right-wing at 30, then Millienials are now. So at 30 they'll be something like 60% Leftist. When they turn 70, they'll be something like 40% or 35% Leftist. This is a major change in political alignment long term, and the Left has never changed that decay in over 100 years.
This is the first time since we've been studying generational political change with polling where the newest generation wasn't aggressively more Leftist than their predecessors. It's the only instance we have of the next generation being slightly less Leftist than the preceding one. What demographers would have predicted was that Gen Z likely should have been something like 90% Leftist if Millenials were 70%, and only became 70% Leftist when Gen Z turned 70. Nothing like that happened at all.
Anyways, don't you dare give up on Gen Z yet. They are the ones chanting "Fuck Joe Biden" in the stands at these college football games.
Gen Z+1 is probably the ones most in danger from being molested or castrated right now. But unfortunately, I'd bet money that's going to make Gen Z+1 far more anti-Left than Gen Z is. I suspect this trend will continue.
This is true. And considering that we are undergoing a massive change in how schooling will be done (there has been an almost 50% increase in homeschooling and millions less students in public schools, especially urban ones). We have also started to see regression on certain issues due to the fact that the Left Wing has become unbelievably toxic over those issues.
For instance, there has been a study that showed that the amount of approval of the LGBT cause has dropped into the negative for the first time in years. The drop is driven almost entirely by young people turning against the movement, likely because they see all of these people they thought they were being kind to and supporting have turned into absolutely demented perverts and their response is "Suddenly, I am not so thrilled with this idea."
Also, I lol at all of the blackpilled doomers under your comment. I wonder if they even realize they are nothing more than the whipping boys for the Left?
IIRC, it didn't drop into the negative, it just went down for the first time in years.
And no. They are peak reactionary-tools. Same with that NatSocs. Literally becoming the strawman to own the libs, by being a literal weapon of the libs.

I went back an rewatched the episode of the Lotus Eaters podcast I saw it on, and while it didnt include the disapproval, it did show that acceptance had dropped from 53% to 45%. So if its not negative, it is only a plurality, which isnt much better. Although I also agree with the point that Callum made. That being that its likely a reflection of "the movement" and activist types, while people are still supportive of individuals who happen to be gay, lesbian, bisexual, or trans.

Yeah, I seriously doubt there's any real animosity towards genuine gays et all. It's mostly going to be opposition to the Queers.
