I always say that to mock critics who clap like seals at the latest race/gender swapped reboot or modern day feminists who think they are courageous by condemning rape in the western world. Also teens who think they are brave by posting about being “anti-racist”.
I saw others using it to mock the people described above but who said it first? Was it something feminists started?
IIRC Matt and Trey were mostly riffing off the lavish puff-piece "she" got in the Time issue she was on the cover of shortly before then.
I remember it was only a couple months after the "Love Wins" supreme court decision, so there had to be the next big cause célèbre. Always gotta keep everyone marching left.
