American Krogan recently put out a video going over interviews in the 1960's when Australia was still openly pursuing a "Keep Australia White" policy. Even back then you can see people grappling with the doublethink of "I only want to live around white people, but we can't be discriminatory" due to the media narratives that they have been indoctrinated with.
