Conservatism is a meaningless ideology. You are by definition always chasing the tail of regressive leftists. When they are in control, the only tactics that can oppose them are to progress in completely opposite or tangential directions. (more nationalist which usurps their institutions, or more anarchist/individualist which removes their levers of control)
