Which is why I’m beginning a campaign to take back the word slave. It is a racial slur against my people that has been normalized, racially appropriated, and changed from its original meaning. I will no longer stand for the continued usage of this slur, especially by black, brown, and Germanic peoples who enslaved, raped and attempted to genocide my people throughout history.
I honestly never put slave and Slavic together till I read Sowell. I am mostly black with some European and a sprinkle of Native American and Asian. I’m convinced my ancestors include slaves and slave owners from all backgrounds. Like the few percentage points of Scandinavian blood I have are most likely Vikings terrorizing my British ancestors. We both know about African tribes enslaving others. Along with other cultures. I know I have a tiny bit of ancestry from the Balkan’s but not sure if that is the Slav region.
Hey now, saying a black man has large lips is an offensive racial trope, and he compared faggots to Goodell, which is clearly offensive to faggots.
I guess I foolishly thought that there are worse things in life.

I hope you can reclaim the word for your people
I’d rather have everyone not care about words and focus on actions of the individual, unfortunately pearl clutchers seem universal.
