They swap Claudia from white to black-ish, light brown to be honest but not exactly british. I've read the book a long time ago and I'm to lazy to look the girls description. Clearly she was not black or it would have been specifically mentioned. A black girl in pre-1800 would be note worthy to mention.
But yea, we did not need a remake. The movie I think was ok-ish, better then other book adaptations, Queen of Damn on the other hand was horrible.
I liked those books as a teenager and I've noticed that a lot of books or tv shows I liked as a teenager are not that good, I would say you can go ahead and read Interview with a Vampire, is a short book so you do not waste to much time and judge it by yourself.
If you like it you can read the other 2, there are others in the vampire series but I remember not being a fan of them.
Never saw interview with a vampire. Or read it. But considering the time we live in…..race swap?
Yes, two so far.
The plantation owner is now a black dude who manages a whore house.

Are any Mccaffrey books worth the read?
Interview with a Vampire, Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damn are by Anne Rice.
Ohh. Ok so none of those are good reads huh?
