Doomcock had a video where he mentioned a possible spoiler for the Indiana Jones movie that the female co-Star will take over the role. With James Bond being the latest I’m wondering if at some point even normies will get sick of the “female takes over for male lead” trope.
Or the bait and switch. What’s crazy about Indiana Jones is that you already have Lara Croft and that show Relic Hunter. Don’t understand the need to replace Indy.
Can you think of any movies that actually make it to production then don't bomb when they do this?
I can see them trying to destroy the franchise with it, that is their modus operandi, but the only one I can think of is star wars - and that's because it coasted on nostalgia - and they didn't keep doing it. Disney's next project even with nasty feminists at the helm once again had a male lead.
I honestly think there's even fewer women who want to see these movies than men. At least as a man I can watch some attractive girl's hot body run around. Women don't get that, and they don't seem to be interested in women in action roles either.
The last movie I know of that women actually loved was Legally Blonde. I get the feeling women see women in action roles and yawn and fall asleep. They want to see men in those roles.
Every system today depends on the successes of the past to keep going. The Silent Generation, and the Boomers are disturbingly overconfident that the systems their parents and grandparents built will last in perpetuity and will withstand countless failures.
