That assumes there is a good leader in the first place.
Fuck this guy:
Kono advocates for more immigration, having criticized the government's resistance to opening the door to immigrants in order to mitigate Japan's labor shortage as a result of its aging and shrinking population.[3][37]
This one seems pretty dodgy too:
Kishida reiterated his pledge to craft an economic package worth "tens of trillions of yen," or hundreds of billion dollars, to support the pandemic-hit economy by the end of the year.
...but I guess better than Kono. (As if I know what the hell I'm talking about and didn't just spend about 5 minutes "researching".)
he's really bad. kono studied politics at a jesuit American university and worked with democrats and is pro vaccine mandates and pro immigration and was promoted by the media .
Don't know much about the other guy though but kono was definitely terrible.
Nah, normal people are polite but their is a reason their society is like that. There no being let free from a crime in japan. Japan has damn near a 100% conviction rate, so if a foreigner decides to bring some 'cultural enrichment' he will probably spend his life in jail. Believe it or not, if people are actually punished for doing shit then they stop doing it. What a crazy concept.
Then there are the yakuza. Yakuza aren't as big and as open as they were in the past, but they are still there. Aggresive 'cultural enrichment' is a good way to make sure that the yakuza come back, especially if the police are ordered to turn a blind eye to it.
I am glad it is not the vaccination minister Taro Kono either.
This is probably the best case scenario, but it remains to be seen if he actually is a good leader.
After all, I remember old posts of mine on Reddit that pushed for Boris Johnson.

What people say before they are elected isn't that relevant. It's their actions after they take power that show what side they are on.
