Also, if the planet really significantly warmed up, it would make huge amounts of space in e.g. Siberia, Greenland, or Canada available for farming. Unfortunately, it seems like it's utter horseshit, because I was promised all the polar bears would melt already and Micronesia would be underwater by now, and nothing seems to be happening.
