1 in 4? I have to think either I'm the most isolated person on the planet or these people don't even look at their own experience at all. I have a total of zero homo friends, friends of friends, coworkers, or acquaintances. At least that I know of. Meaning anyone I've met in person enough that'd I'd recognize them on the street (celebrities excluded of course). 1 in 4?!
Correct. There are a few big cities that might have maybe 8% or 10% of the population that is gay, but that’s maybe two cities. A few other cities might be 3-4%. Then the rest of the country is sub 1%. However one of the cities with a huge percentage is NYC and they dominate media and advertising jobs, which in turn creates a massive appearance of over repression.

They've been told that "gay people are everywhere" for so long now, that belief has replaced reality for them.

And to clarify when I say 8-10% I mean of the male population not overall population.
