I think it's more interesting that if you're 35+ and woke you probably believe the exact opposite of what you were raised to believe and probably did believe in your early adult years, even if you were on the left.
My ideal society at 14 would have been something like out of the movie Hackers, but even then that was a world that was hyper-competitive, purely meritocratic, hostile to external and arbitrary/incompetent authority, and unwelcoming to outsiders until they had proven themselves.
I still have most of those aspects of my personality, which very much puts me at odds with "woke" culture, modern corporate culture, and even what has now become my profession's culture.
