I really noticed it from graduating college in the 90's and going back to law school in the 2000's. Granted we were just getting the internet and e-mail when I graduated from college and facebook existed when I went back.

They canceled the ACT last year for many schools and my neighbor had to take a math placement test. She’s going to a pretty good school and this shit was an absolute joke (she was doing the test while I was drinking beer with her parents and she was shocked that I could do problems like 5/64 + 3/8 in my head nearly instantly while drunk). I suspect if you saw the substantive side of undergrad today you’d shiver. This country is doomed. Maybe we’re just old and have expectations that are too high.
I would argue that they are not even institutions of learning. They are purely indoctrination camps at this point.
