What’s there point of derailing a train? The left wing eco-terrorists of the 90’s at least had a purpose and would spike trees or burn down invasive ski resorts.

This seems like nothing except attempted murder.

Probably the unmitigated human suffering of a train derailment.

Of all the serious accidents, it's probably worse than most other kinds.

It has:

The visual specter of a plane crash
The horror of people trapped in a burning building
The difficulty of rescue efforts of a collapsed structure.
