"Latinos", the very group "latinx" tries to "represent", largely speak Spanish as their first or second language, some Portuguese.
Both languages are strongly gendered, a term like "latinx" introduces a "neutrality" that does not exist in those languages.
It is a privileged white Anglicism forced onto those people. This is cultural violence and linguistic imperialism.
