I'm a sucker for a good old fashion ghost story or paranormal type.
I have seen The Lighthouse and I really enjoyed it as well. I loved the early Hollywood aesthetic and cinematography, although at some points I felt the expressionism may be a bit excessive, the story more than made up for that. It was great. Definitely inspired by Hitchcock quite a bit, no doubt.
Between that film and Hereditary, it seems apparent the genre will probably live on through smaller indie studios more than anything. Which in many ways, I'm fine with.
