The regime was opposed to things like the Frankfurt school so those postmodernist academics and other communists took advantage of their win to create the "right-wing" and put Hitler there, and spread those ideas globally - associating anything anti-communist with fascism Before that, people in most countries did not even think about politics in those terms and nationalism was human nature.
I was thinking the same thing the other day. Makes perfect sense really. Basically everything is through a post WW2 lens. A heavily distorted lens at that. Why not endlessly capitalize on that victory to achieve their globalist goals and subvert all western nations?
