I think I remember hearing that. Makes sense, people who don't feel like they're being treated fairly will accept any replacement to the ruling class oppressing them.

I think their argument would be that Sowell isn't like the average black person. That may be true, but it also debunks the idea that race is their main motive. In reality, what they want is a culturally homogenous society, where everyone is on the same page. They believe this would be most easily achieved by making everyone of the same color.

I'll resist my usual rants about white women (young white women are far far more likely to be far-leftists than black men in my experience.) and just say that if the world could be divided by anything, ideology would make more sense. All the feminists could have their zero men lesbian utopia (I volunteer the UK as their land) until they die in one generation because they aren't capable of developing artificial reproduction. All the commies can go redistribute each other's wealth in some Siberian shithole. All the black nationalists can have a random territory in Africa, because they love it so much despite never being there. All the radical Islamists can go to the Middle East. Etc. Etc.
