When news came out that T_D's subscription numbers were being suppressed I did a quick analysis of the highest subscription subs both defaults and non-defaults and the amount of posts they generated per day. Then I used that data to extrapolate a possible real subscription number for T_D. The figure I came to was +6 million subscriptions. For a non-default sub that's a YUGE number.
But the banning of T_D it just a small portion to the numbers of users that Reddit has purged in the months since T_D.
Personally I think until recently, Reddit was using the purges to pump their user numbers since most of those people will just recreate accounts. However, about 2 months ago all of my accounts on Reddit that had either suffered a one sub or multiple sub ban were banned site wide as well as my sleeper accounts laying in wait to be used. Those accounts were created using different browsers in private mode on different machines using different IP addresses. The only common factor was the VPN I was using for creating them so it must have been a VPN wide ban.
If you haven't noticed, .win is growing. Activity is increasing. I think the admins are realizing they've gone too far and are creating their demise.

Interesting, that's approximately when my reddit account got flagged for "suspicious activity". They say I can have my account back if I reset my password, but I really can't be bothered. I only ever had the one account, so I attributed it to me looking at financial subs like superstonk.

Perhaps we both got caught up in some wider net.
The silent majority is speaking.
