It's very simple. If you're strong you see something you want, and it's within your power to get it yourself. You just go and get it. Simple. Other people hold you back and are thus bad.

If you're weak you need to get other people to help you to get it, therefore outside the mainstream is dangerous because you cannot do anything yourself, therefore other people are good.
