It's still anime, and it comes from Japan. Yes, technically they're aliens, but so is Superman, but that's not an excuse to be race swapping and changing around characters. I hope you're right and they stay the fuck away from it.
They already race-swapped Goku once in the live-action Dragon Ball and used the excuse "well he's an alien so he doesn't have to be Asian", so yes... they will likely try again but this time turn him into jogger.
