I was looking for some good Batman runs that aren't SJW. I was looking at the Scott Snyder and Grant Morrison runs specifically. People seem to think highly of them, but Grant Morrison uses a "they" pronoun to describe himself, and Scott Snyder has criticized Comicsgate, so I was concerned the books might have SJW themes in them. Are these books SJW at all? I did not want to spend big bucks on omnibus only to not like them.

The Long Halloween is pretty good, came out in '96 I think. Plus they just did a 2 film adaptation. Although not the best DC animated film, it sticks to the source material and is devoid of any wokeness. Definitely my favorite DC film since Apokolips War.
Other than batman/bruce is incompetent. Catwoman comes to save him a bunch of times, wins fights against him, is repeatedly shown to be better than him, and she never makes a mistake and executes flawlessly everything she attempts.
Oh and batman lets off a criminal pretty much because she is a women and "she had good reasons" and promises not to do it again.
Still watchable though, many good moments but has that cringe you have to power through.
Haha I forgot about the ending completely. You're right, the main villain gets let off the hook with no repourcussions at all. Now that I think about it, we get no closure at all for the atrocities committed throughout the movies.
As for Batman, his incompetence was part of his story arc. One of the themes was him falling into the role of "World's Greatest Detective". He was green at the beginning of the first film, but by the end of the second he had learned from his mistakes and grown as a character, or as a detective anyway.
"Hi. I'm Batman. Wanna know my secret identity?"
