Now I’m seeing them make a huge deal over some conservative talk show host who died of Covid (well according to the report he died of Covid). And of course before he told his followers to get vaccinated.
Now it’s sad that he died but it’s important you know your own health. I wear a mask if I go somewhere that requires it but call me cynics, but I think we are all gonna get Covid or already have. The best thing I can do is get in better shape and take my vitamins and minerals (especially zinc).
I guarantee you there are many more people who were hysterical that ended up with zero or mild symptoms but they love to breathlessly report these scenarios
My grandma is getting close to 90 but she’s one of those people with an amazing attitude who is probably going to live to be 100 (her mom hit 105). She got COVID last winter and the hospital took her an oxygen tank and she was fine after two days. My mom is a heavy smoker, she got it and just lost taste and smell for a couple weeks.
Once my mom and grandma got it and kicked it, my level of concern dropped from 3/10 to under 1/10. I think basically it is one of those things where if you have conditions that will kill you in 2 or 3 years, COVID accelerates your death.
I'm thinking a lot of it is actually weight and general healthiness. If I had to guess your grandma is fairly active for her age. The ones in my family that didn't do well were obese and sedentary. Able to get around, sure, but will tire out having to climb a couple floors of stairs.
